J.J. Abrams is an American film director, producer, screenwriter, and more. Abrams works in the science fiction and superhero genres. The New York City-bred Brooklyn native is best known for co-creating the TV show Alias and for directing the Star Trek reboot and the seventh installment in the Star Wars saga, The Force Awakens. Abrams is also the creator of the TV series Lost and the production company Bad Robot Productions. With complex storylines, plot twists, and narratives that can seem overwhelming, his stamp on character-driven narratives continues to redefine epochs in today’s pop culture as we know it.
