Maud Adams is a Swedish actress and model, born on February 12, 1945, in Luleå, Sweden. She gained international fame for portraying two distinct Bond girls in the James Bond film series. In 1974, she appeared as Andrea Anders in The Man with the Golden Gun, and in 1983, she played the title role in Octopussy, making her the only actress to star as two different Bond girls in the franchise.
Before her acting career, Adams was a successful model, having been discovered in 1963 and working in Paris and New York. She transitioned into acting in the early 1970s, with notable roles in films like Rollerball (1975) and Killer Force (1976), as well as appearances on TV series such as Hawaii Five-O and Kojak.
After her Bond appearances, Adams continued her acting career with roles in films like Hell Hunters (1986) and Angel III: The Final Chapter (1988), and guest-starred in TV series including That ’70s Show (2000). She also made a brief uncredited appearance in A View to a Kill (1985).
Fluent in five languages, Adams resides in Los Angeles with her husband, Judge Charles Rubin, whom she married in 1999. She remains a beloved figure among Bond fans and occasionally attends fan conventions and autograph shows.
