Adlington continued to excel in her sport, earning two bronze medals at the 2012 London Olympics. She retired from competitive swimming in 2013 and has since become a prominent media figure, working as a BBC sports commentator and advocating for swimming education through her initiative, Becky Adlington’s SwimStars.
In recognition of her achievements, Adlington was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2009. She remains one of Britain’s most celebrated Olympians, known for her dedication to the sport and her contributions to swimming education.
