Andre Agassi is a retired American professional tennis player, widely regarded as one of the greatest athletes in the sport. Born on April 29, 1970, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Agassi became one of the most prominent figures in tennis during the 1990s and early 2000s. Known for his incredible speed, powerful baseline play, and iconic return of serve, Agassi won eight Grand Slam singles titles, including the career Grand Slam (winning each of the four major titles at least once). His fierce competitiveness, dramatic career highs and lows, and strong personality made him a fan favorite and a trailblazer in the sport. Beyond his on-court success, Agassi is also noted for his philanthropy, particularly his work with the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education, which supports at-risk children.
