Argentine football great Sergio Agüero is considered one of the best strikers of his generation. He came to Europe by moving to atlético de Madrid, and was born on 2 June 1988 in Buenos Aires. Explosive speed, clinical finishing, and goal-scoring knack made him a standout in Spain. Agüero shot to global fame while at Manchester City, where he became the club’s leading goal scorer of all time and played a key role in landing several Premier League titles, including his injury-time clincher that won them the 2011-12 title. His international career with Argentina was also a success. Agüero won the 2021 Copa América. An icon of the sport, he hung up his boots in 2022 following heart-related health issues and is lauded for his humility and unwavering professionalism.
