Paul Adelstein is an American actor and musician, celebrated for his diverse roles across television and film. Born on April 29, 1969, in Chicago, Illinois, he is best known for portraying Agent Paul Kellerman in the hit series Prison Break and Dr. Cooper Freedman in Private Practice.
Adelstein’s acting career began in Chicago’s theater scene, notably with John Cusack’s New Crime Productions and the Steppenwolf Theatre Company. He later transitioned to television, landing roles in Prison Break, Private Practice, and Scandal, among others. Additionally, he co-created and wrote for the dark comedy series Imposters.
Beyond acting, Adelstein is the lead singer and guitarist for the band Doris, showcasing his musical talents.
Adelstein was married to actress Liza Weil from 2006 to 2017, and they have a daughter together.
