Clay Aiken (born November 30, 1978) is an American singer, songwriter, and television personality who rose to fame on the second season of American Idol in 2003. Famous for his strong vocals and tender love ballads, Aiken rose to become a national music star after releasing songs like “This Is the Night” and “Invisible.” Outside of music, he has been involved in numerous charitable causes, particularly concerning human rights and children’s welfare. He has also formed part of several television projects. Due to his entertaining, engaging personality, as well as his activism and involvement in the entertainment industry, Aiken has an extensive fan base and has received many awards recognizing him for those contributions.
